Calm

As and artist, the highest of high is to find a fellow artist, who, the unknown, who out of nowhere, who, from a far off land, just answers your questions, through art. The heart suddenly becomes so light, since now you have no more burdens of unanswered questions. The mind floats around, with vivid ramblings along a smile, and hands just stretch in the air, to catch some air. All of this happens in a matter of seconds, but it feels as if time just stopped for some time.

How this time feels like? is what this gurl Tapshi just blew me with. Changing not even a single full stop, read this to just take a break, close your eyes and breathe.

"I take time to feel absolute calm. Peace comes to me slowly. But when it comes, it stays. The seconds, minutes, hours, they begin to merge. And stretch. Thin. Slowly. And then gone. Completely.

Peace, for me, is surrender. And loosening up. And feeling gravity of wherever I am. Or whoever I'm with. It's not trying, to change anything about that moment. It's giving up having any control, over anything.

Peace, for me, is surrender.

And I felt it lying down in the shikara, at a quiet part of the Dal, in Sri Nagar. The slow, almost tangible pace of the shikara. The sunset. The sound of the oar dipping in and out of the water. The open, endless sky above. For long. Who knows how long. Time had melted. Away.

And slowly, nothing was left but to surrender. And loosen. And let gravity take over. And close my eyes."
