Dear to-be-getting-married-couples (reading this post), as much as all you of anxiously wait for your big D day...
A word of caution...it will not be a happy ride, unless you choose to get squished amidst the soaring expectations (of umpteen uncles and aunties some long lost one's as well), happily maddening times of ritual eccentricities and deadlines (you'll be amazed at the number of them you'll have to come across) and the rushing excitement (seems like the whole world and even the neighbor's dog will be just waiting to wag or not wag his tail at what you'll be wearing on your wedding day). Most of you will end up having the terriblest of fights with your closest one's and for a moment will just forget the reasons why it all started.
A piece of advice, don't forget why it all started. The pressure on you both, the couples, will be the most extreme and in most of the cases, you'll just end up being victims to a never-ending tiring day and not being able to spare a single moment of happiness in serenity. Choose your moment, choose your story, choose your style and just make it happen. After all it's going to be your day and no one else should be allowed to steal it from you.
A piece of inspiration, this is possible. What makes me say this? Meeting Kriti and Dwijo, these lovely happy souls and being a witness to their day of love; who had just one thing on their mind - enjoy their wedding day, the way they wanted to. I think so that's not too much to ask for!
Too bad I was just pre-booked for as assignment for their Sangeet dances, but man! was I bowled over on their wedding day. The D-day started with a whiff of fresh winter morning coffee with the freshest of wedding day bridal attire. The perfect shades of pastel olive green and orange matched with white, gold and bronze accessories. The idea was to be as movable as possible and not be shackled by the tiers of pom-poms and accessories on your wedding day. All this could have been possible with the perfect pair of shoe. Thank you Needledust for showing us the pretty side of life!! Some champagne and shades of nude make-up done just spot on right by the effortlessly chic Umang Vanshika. Kriti's bridesmaids flew down for the big day, practically from all over the world, and just added the perfect bling to the day with their multi-colored Indian sarees and sunshine smiles. The girls choose the chop-stick dance, hip-hip hurray and the never failing bridal lehenga swirl as their moves for the group portraits (clicked in a matter of just 10 minutes).
All the elements for the day were choosen to reflect the easy breezy attitude, both Kriti and Dwijo have. It was a day wedding (and that's a wedding photographers prayers being answered), open lawn venue done in peach and jasmine (ohh that jasmine whiff all around was just so calming) at the The Palms Town & Country Club, a limited crowd of just 150 people (come to realise this is actually the list one ends up wanting to have), live Jazz music for everyone's convenience to just talk and connect and some DJ in the end to let the champagne do the job. Lemme just not get started on the food; it was gooooooooooooooood.

Haha, I met two of the quirkiest flower boys (Dwijo's nephews) who walked Kriti down the aisle. And when you have the boys do the job of a girl, there has to be their own twist.
A common mistake that most couple's do at their wedding is, to just forget about themselves on their big day. They spends endless hours on planning their looks and coordinate everything, and when the time comes to get themselves clicked for the perfect wedding portrait, it's after all the dancing and meeting and jaw-paining smiling and washed-out make-up (a harsh truth of reality coming from a wedding photographer). Well not here. These two happily sneaked out when everyone was busy having lunch, took out a full half an hour especially for me (thaaaaaaaannkkk yoouuuuuu) before the formal wedding ceremonies that helped me make the most of the day light; and with the perfect giggly-wiggly kinda love of these two, I was a happy bunny with a camera.
The official wedding ceremony started around 5.00. And I got the chance to capture the warmest of wedding rituals of these two in the fuzziest of evening sunlight glory.
The wedding celebrations for the day ended around 8 pm and phewww by 8.30 it was a pack-up for me after a round of masala chai, zeera biscuits and the happiest of no-fuss vidaayis (my fellow wedding photography community will totally relate to the sigh of relief I would have breathed at this moment).
I just cannot stop writing about all the things these two did just perfectly right for their big day. For the wedding day inspiration seekers, you will find some interestingly quirky one's. For the moment livers, you'll smile along.
Great photos! It can be seen that the professional took pictures. I'm now looking for a good photographer, here I choose from the best works on wedding.net. I think it is one of the most important things for wedding.
