Something quaint

There is something personal and calming about having a wedding at a place you trust and you feel at peace with; making dreams come true that you had as a little girl to start your new beginnings. I love, love, love it when couples choose to live their story on their wedding day, I looooooooooooove this authenticity.

Ever since Nimisha envisioned her wedding day, it had to be a simple, intimate and a quaint temple wedding. And with a temple wedding naturally comes a day wedding. And man!! did she make all of it happen and make it look so effortless.

The day started with a haldi ceremony with a fambam all awake at bang 7.00 am after endless dancing at the sangeet the night before! The eye candy bridesmaids were ready bang on time as per instructions, to pay Nimisha a surprise flying visit before the big moment and man!! were they a overloaded bundle of happiness. Hemant indeed was a statement groom in his bronze sherwani and white dhoti. And, the classic yellow and orange decor against the quaint white temple setting made the whole day a perfect combination of highs and calms.

It was a good change to see a Hindu wedding ceremony taking place during a day with everyone wide awake and being present in body and soul, unlike the standard wedding proceedings that generally takes place during the wee hours of the night, when the groom and bride are hardly left with any energy to even smile. This indeed was the highlight of this day, when the calm and serene environment of the Karneshwar temple during the wedding ceremony made everyone connect and bond as a family, and bless the journey these two were to embark.

With so much love ooooozing the vidaayi was indeed a moment that made hearts go thump thump. Nimisha's brother Raghav, tops the list of the cutest brother-of-the-bride on my list. So sorry Raghav, I know it was indeed one of the most honest moments in your life hitting you quite hard, but you looked toooooo darn cute in those tears. I just went awwwwwwwwwww...and i'm sure a lot of girls reading the post must be totally aawwwwwwwwwwwwwwingg as of now.

A lot of happy and something quaint, this day was simple joys of the world are made of, just like the sweet cheek pulls and pecks (check out the last couple portrait of Hemant and Nimisha).
